Mommy and daddy have been very busy getting my room ready for my arrival…which is very soon. They have the blinds up in my bedroom, my bookshelf is ready for my books and some shelves are ready for decorations. Oh yeah and since my walk-in closet has a window…that has blinds too! -Baby McLaughlin

This morning we saw our baby boy kick for the very first time. We were lying in bed and we saw Maureen’s belly move from the baby shifting and kicking! I was very exciting for us. Check out the week-by-week fetal development pictures at BabyCenter.com.
Brian and I went to the USC Perinatal Women’s Diagnostics Center today for a FirstScreen test for Down syndrome and trisomy 18. Following the testing the doctor took the 3D ultra sound picture above. Maureen and I went to our first visit with Dr. Chan this afternoon. She was great! Maureen and the baby were checked out and all is going very well. We were able to see a clear head, hands and feet. AND…we were able to her our baby’s heartbeat! More to follow in a few weeks.
