First Professional Haircut

With just a week to Ethan’s first birthday we thought it was about time he got a real professional haircut – unlike the hack jobs mommy and daddy had been giving him. So I did my research and found a cute little place in Arcadia called The Yellow Balloon. The gentlemen that cut Ethan’s hair has been cutting infants and toddlers’ hair for nearly 30 years. I guess it’s safe to assume he really knows what he’s doing. Upon arrival we found another toddler sitting in the chair. Ironically, his birthday was the exact same day as Ethan’s. And, he was there for the same reason too – getting ready for his big day the following Saturday. Since Ethan wasn’t quite one yet he couldn’t sit in the chair by himself he had to sit on my lap. He was given a cookie to start. They had a television with all sorts of cartoon DVDs at the ready. He watched cartoons, ate, played and all the while didn’t even realize that someone was cutting his hair. It was great. He didn’t make a fuss because he was so preoccupied with all the fun stuff. They were so professional there. I was so glad I found this place. We’ll definitely be taking Ethan back fro many years to come.
