…Brian and I can officially announce our engagement to everyone! On Friday, May 2nd we headed down to San Diego for the weekend. It was a beautiful day so we stopped off in San Clemente at Kultured Kitchen for a snack (thanks for the tip Nathan – they have the best frozen yogurt EVER!) and then we stopped off for a drink at the Hard Rock Cafe in La Jolla. It was a good thing that we stopped there too because Brian picked up a shot glass for his collection before they close their doors permanently this November.

Finally we headed for our hotel – the Hotel del Coronado. Our room at “The Del” was a beautiful junior suite ocean front room with a spectacular view. After a quick dip in the pool and a short dip in the hot tub we headed back to our room to get ready for dinner. We had a wonderful ocean front patio dinner at The Del’s Sheerwater restaurant followed by a moonlit walk along the beach. It was during that walk that Brian revealed the secret that he had been keeping for weeks. As you can see from the picture above, he surprised me with a huge diamond ring and asked me to marry him. The picture above was taken the very next day as we entered Sea World. We had such a great time and even had dinner with Shamu!
